Once I learned how to make beer bread, I told myself I’d see how many different kinds of bread I can use to make bread. My wife needed a dark beer for a recipe she was making. When she asked me what kind to buy, Negra Modelo and Guinness were the two that came to mind.
My wife only needed a little from one bottle. Since I had plenty left over, I decided it was time to make some Negra Modelo beer bread. The further along I get with this project the more interesting it is. Each beer gives the bread its own unique flavor and aroma.
If you have ever had Negra Modelo beer then you know how it is. This flavor and aroma works into the bread and gives it a unique flavor. That is what I meant when I said this project is getting interesting. Some beers are stronger than others which makes each bread I make unique.
Here is how I make Negra Model beer bread.
First, gather the ingredients.
Mix the dry ingredients.
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 cups flour
Add 1/4 cup sugar
Whisk the dry ingredients.
Add one bottle of Negra Modelo beer to the dry ingredients.
Mix until a dough forms.
Butter a bread pan.
Pour dough into prepared bread pan.
Add the remaining butter to the top.
Bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
Enjoy!
